Hope and Healing for Women Facing Cancer

Completion of Treatment Celebration

Thanks to your continued support, our specialized shelter in Monterrey remains a vital refuge for women battling cancer. Many of them come from remote towns in northern Mexico and are referred to major hospitals in Monterrey for treatment. Without a safe place to stay or emotional support, facing the disease can feel overwhelming. That’s where Cruz Rosa steps in.

Over the past few months, we have provided comprehensive care to 56 women and their companions, including lodging, daily meals, psychological therapy, medical guidance, nursing care, and recreational activities. Each of these services is designed to ease the physical and emotional burden of cancer and promote healing in a warm and compassionate environment.

One of the women we had the honor of supporting is Emma, originally from Ciudad Victoria, who arrived at Cruz Rosa Monterrey on January 27, 2025, after being diagnosed with tonsil cancer. Due to the nature of her illness, she experienced significant discomfort when trying to eat solid foods. To support her nutrition and overall well-being, we provided her with specialized meals such as broths, liquid foods, and Ensure supplements. Emma underwent 35 radiotherapy sessions and successfully completed her treatment on April 7. At Cruz Rosa, she found not only a safe place to rest but also the strength to keep fighting.

From January to March, we supported 144 individuals, providing more than 4,300 meals, over 350 psychological therapy sessions, and continuous nursing care. We also delivered in-kind support such as medications, medical tests, wigs, turbans, and prosthetics, helping our patients regain their self-esteem and emotional stability throughout their treatment. Every service we provide is made possible thanks to the generosity of donors like you. Thank you for standing beside women like Emma when they need it most.
