Dear Respected Donors,
Greetings to you from Health Education Adoption Rehabilitation Development Society (HEARDS)!
First let me say a big thank you towards showing the interest on donating your valuable contribution for mid-day meal for children. The sole aim of this project is to liberate children from the vicious cycle of malnourishment and illiteracy. This is one of the vital components towards the success of child labor rehabilitation program. All through these years HEARDS believes in providing children with the right nutrition to support their education. HEARDS also believes that ‘you are what you eat’. Therefore one nutritious meal prepared with compassion and love, brings all the children back to our child labor rehabilitation center.
During the initial days of our project we were not preparing mid-day meal and the children coming to our center was very less. Than we gone into the details of these children and got shocked to know that most of the children who are coming to our center were coming with empty stomach. Than we realised the importance of providing mid-day meal to these children and once we start this program every day the attendance was on an average of more than 95%.
The main aim is to provide 400 kilo calories and 12 grams of protein in that one particular meal. After provision of mid-day meal component we were able to see smiles on their faces, tears through gratitude and there was a big change towards the success of the project.
Our aim is to Promote Education One Meal at a Time by providing nutritious, wholesome, hygienic meals prepared in hi-tech kitchens which not only nourish the body but also nurture the soul. The recipients of the Mid-Day Meal primarily consist of malnourished children from slum and tribal areas who are all from the below poverty line families. For many the meal we provide may be the only meal they receive in the entire day. So we strive to ensure that the Mid-Day Meal is healthy, nutritious and packed with all the important fibers, vitamins and nutrients required for the healthy growth of the child.
I request the donors of this project to pass on this message about our vision to serve nutritious and sanctified high quality food to the underprivileged children in Chittoor. In line with the objectives of the Mid-Day Meal project our Goal is to increase enrolment in schools, reduce malnutrition and ensure no child is deprived of an Education due to Poverty and Hunger towards this project.
With due respects,
