Our organisation has remained committed to providing support for CKD patients in Nigeria despite our dwindling resources.
We are still providing anti-hypertensive and anti-diabetic medicines for indigenous CKD patients; and empowering them with equipment and training required for self-monitoring of their blood pressure. So far we have given out between 1-3 month supply of medicines to over 100 patients. We have given out 50 BP monitors to the patients.
We visited a local dialysis centre in Benin City, Nigeria and offered free renal consultation, free medicines and free monitors to the Dialysis patients. We conducted a community screening for risk factors of CKD in Warri, Nigeria and gave out free medicines to persons living with hypertension and diabetes.
While we acknowledge the global poor economic situation, we kindly appeal to our donors to join us in this noble course. CKD drains the sufferer physically, mentally, socially and financially; the least we could do is help to lighten their burden.
