On Tuesday, March 5 and Wednesday, March 6, 2024, ten children and youth from The Hub attended a camp focused on "Belonging" for street-involved children at the Homeless Development Center in Pathum Thani Province (Ban Poonsuk). This camp, held in honor of the International Day for Street Children on April 12, aimed to gather opinions and share experiences of living on the streets. Participants reflected on their sense of belonging within their community, shared their emotions, and raised awareness about their rights.
April 2-3, 2024
Art Therapy Project at Samaesan (Thalassotherapy), Sattahip District, Chonburi Province
During the school break, The Hub selected seven dedicated students to participate in an off-site camp at Samaesan as a reward for their academic efforts. The activities included team-building water sports, art therapy to express their feelings through colors, and Vlog-making, which the children found particularly exciting. These activities helped the children develop their technological skills in photography, video editing, and reviewing.
May 2, 2024 Motorcycle Riding Lessons and License Exam at Advanced Bangkok Driving School
The "Youth with a Hundred Careers" project facilitated motorcycle riding lessons for six youth at the Advanced Bangkok Driving School on May 2-3, 2024. After passing the exam, they underwent health checks to receive their driving licenses. Two of the six youth planned to pursue careers as food delivery riders once licensed. By the end of the program, all six participants had successfully obtained their motorcycle licenses.
June 20-21, 2024 Workshop on Listening to Children's Views on Ending Violence Against Children at Riverine Place Hotel and Residence, Nonthaburi
A caregiver and three children from The Hub Childline attended a workshop organized by UNICEF Thailand and the Department of Children and Youth. The workshop aimed to gather children's opinions and suggestions on ending violence against children. These insights were intended for the 1st Global Ministerial Conference on Ending Violence Against Children and the ASEAN regional action plan. The event featured nearly 20 child rights organizations, providing children with opportunities to express their views and learn about various forms of violence, including state violence.
