Executive Summary

We extend our deepest gratitude to all our supporters for being the driving force that allows us to empower and provide a safe haven for these children amidst the daily adversities they face. While the journey of transforming a life on the street is inherently challenging, every small step we take together today serves as a vital foundation, enabling them to grow with resilience and walk their own paths with dignity in the future.

1. A Heartfelt Thank You to Our "Heroes"

We would like to express our deepest gratitude to you. Your unwavering support has been the lifeline for children living on the streets of Bangkok. Because of you, "The Hub Saidek" is more than just a drop-in center; it is a sanctuary where children regain their safety, dignity, and a chance at a future. You are the hero in their story of transformation.

2. The Current Reality: Challenges on the Streets

The period of 2024 through September 2025 has seen a rise in the complexity of issues facing Thai youth:

  • A Surge in Neglect: Reports of child neglect have increased by nearly 70% compared to the previous year.

  • Rising Violence: Cases involving physical abuse and sexual exploitation have risen by approximately 20%.

  • Mental Health Crisis: There is a significant 10% increase in children seeking help for severe psychological distress and behavioral issues.

  • Daily Demand: On average, 16 children walk through our doors every day. Half seek immediate survival (food/shelter), while the others face deep-seated crises including human trafficking and substance abuse.

3. Your Impact in Numbers (Key Outcomes)

Your contributions have been converted into tangible results. Here is what we have achieved together between January and September 2025:

  • Night Hub (Crisis Intervention):

    • Provided 660 safe overnight stays for children with nowhere else to go.

    • Served 2,168 nutritious night meals, ensuring no child goes to sleep hungry.

  • Education & Life Skills (Empowerment):

    • Supported 54 students in alternative education programs.

    • Celebrated the graduation of 12 students who successfully completed their basic education.

    • Launched 3 new vocational courses (Barbering, Air Conditioner Maintenance, and Leatherwork) to provide sustainable income paths.

  • Health & Recovery:

    • Provided medical assistance to 35 children, including treatment for STDs and HIV care.

    • Success Story: A young girl trapped in the cycle of sex work and drug addiction successfully completed rehabilitation and is now rebuilding her life through our vocational program.

  • Proactive Outreach (Mobile Unit):

    • Our Mobile Units reached high-risk areas like Sanam Luang and the Memorial Bridge, providing aid to over 47 homeless youth who are often invisible to the system.

4. The Path Ahead for 2025-2026

While we celebrate these victories, the need remains urgent. Our goals for the coming months include:

  1. Specialized Counseling: Expanding our psychological support system with a dedicated team of experts to treat trauma.

  2. Teenage Mother Support: Enhancing care for young mothers and their infants to break the cycle of poverty.

  3. Advocating for the Undocumented: Ensuring that children without identity documents can still access healthcare and education.

5. Your Continued Partnership

The work is far from over. Your donation today provides the next meal, the next medical check-up, and the next classroom seat. We invite you to continue this journey with us, ensuring that no child is left to face the dangers of the street alone.

Thank you for standing with Childline Thailand 1387. Together, we are changing lives.
