Livelihood Support for Flood-Affected Farmers in Bahawalpur

Summary

Alkhidmat Islamic Microfinance supported 30 flood-affected farmers in Bahawalpur through an income-generating initiative, providing financial assistance through relief cheques to help them rebuild their livelihoods and move toward sustainable income.

Story / Update

Floods can severely disrupt the livelihoods of farming communities, leaving families without the resources needed to restart agricultural activities and recover financially. Recognizing these challenges, Alkhidmat Islamic Microfinance organized an income-generating project for flood-affected farmers in Bahawalpur.

Under this initiative, 30 deserving beneficiaries received financial assistance through relief cheques, helping them rebuild their livelihoods and regain their ability to generate income. The support is aimed at enabling affected farmers to recover from the economic impact of flooding and move toward greater financial stability.

Rather than providing only short-term relief, the initiative focuses on livelihood recovery and sustainable income generation, helping affected families rebuild with dignity and greater resilience.
