My mission is to provide awareness and support throughout the Southeast Asian nonprofit sector by connecting and supporting local organizations through the GlobalGiving community, so that these nonprofits can productively and sustainably reach their goals.
Because GlobalGiving values community and the relationships between nonprofits, donors, and companies, we want to make sure that all of our partners have the development tools they require to be successful. We want nonprofits to reach their goals, and donors to be confident in their gifts. So, whether I am holding workshops in Vietnam, offering fundraising help in rural Laos, or checking in on a micro fund in Thailand, I will be on the ground in Southeast Asia, offering feedback and support.
GlobalGiving puts field interns on the ground, all over the world, to communicate face-to-face with partner organizations. This gives the nonprofits a chance to voice their needs while also allowing GlobalGiving to see the people, animals, and landscapes that are the constituents of the change makers we partner with. We also hold workshops to educate local nonprofits about the benefits of joining GlobalGiving's community, so that they can utilize these tools to amplify their outputs.
We are able to visit organizations that address everything from rural poverty, indigenous peoples, water availability, and natural resources to education, empowerment and sustainability initiatives. Your involvement allows us to continue our physical outreach with our partners, which in turn provides the relevant feedback that enables us to to learn how we can better support our community, and allows organizations to continue to be vital voices and enablers of change in their local communities.
