After a big earthquake hit Jajarkot Nepal, on November 3 2023, ActionAid Nepal has been helping families there. They're working with the government and a local group called KIRDARC Nepal to give out important things like blankets and warm clothes to people who lost their homes.
The earthquake happened on November 3 and affected many nearby areas. Sadly, 157 people died, and 256 were hurt. Lots of homes were destroyed or damaged, leaving many people living in temporary shelters.
People in these shelters are facing health problems because of the cold weather. ActionAid Nepal has been giving out essential items to help, like blankets, warm clothes, and nutrition packs. They've also provided financial help to many families.
ActionAid Nepal is also helping with long-term plans, like building safe spaces for women, forming youth teams for advocacy, and holding meetings about important issues.
There are still many challenges, like fixing homes, getting kids back to school, and restoring health services. Despite this, ActionAid Nepal is working hard with local authorities to help people in Jajarkot and other affected areas recover from this disaster.
