PLANE'S JOURNEY TO NOURISHING UGANDA'S FUTURE In a stirring narrative of resilience and dedication, PLATFORM for the NEEDY (PLANE) is spearheading a transformative movement to combat child stunting in Uganda. Through innovative nutrition initiatives, PLANE is empowering marginalized children and mothers to break the cycle of malnutrition and poverty. Interventions: PLANE's groundbreaking approach includes the establishment of nursery gardens, empowering families to cultivate their own nutritious produce. What began with 15 families in Fort Portal has blossomed to 20, showcasing the tangible impact of self-sufficiency and community engagement. Furthermore, engaging radio talk shows on Voice of Toro 101 FM have ignited a fervor for urban farming and vegetable gardens, amplifying the resonance of PLANE's mission. Challenges: While PLANE's progress is undeniable, the path ahead is not without obstacles. With limited traction on fundraising platform GlobalGiving, a mere $20 donation in the first quarter poses a significant hurdle to expanding reach and scale. The imperative need for increased donor engagement underscores the urgency of bridging the gap between intention and impact. Expression of Gratitude: PLANE extends profound appreciation to donors, recognizing their pivotal role in nurturing vulnerable children and communities. Each contribution serves as a beacon of hope, illuminating the path towards a brighter future for Ugandan youth. Sustaining Momentum: Embracing an unwavering commitment to their mission, PLANE calls upon donors to stand in solidarity with Ugandan children, advocating for sustained support to catalyze enduring progress. By amplifying PLANE's narrative within their spheres of influence, donors can catalyze a ripple effect of transformation, ensuring every child receives the nourishment needed to thrive. A Heartfelt Pledge: Under the visionary stewardship of Steven Waddell, PLANE pledges relentless dedication to catalyzing change and fostering collaboration with GlobalGiving and donors. Together, we embark on a shared journey of empowerment and resilience, reshaping the narrative of child stunting in Uganda and igniting a beacon of hope for generations to come.
