Dear Donor,
Thanks to your generous support, we continue encouraging communities to cooperate with contact tracing and follow-up activities.
Contact tracing is essential because people who may have been exposed need appropriate monitoring so that potential illness can be identified quickly.
The scale of the current response is significant. As of 29 September, ECDC reported that 78.7% of identified contacts in affected provinces were under follow-up. More than 32,000 contacts had previously been identified for follow-up during one reporting period.
Our community engagement work helps explain why contact follow-up matters while encouraging families to cooperate without fear or stigma.
We believe that successful contact tracing depends not only on trained response teams but also on community trust.
Your support is helping strengthen that trust and making community cooperation a vital part of Ebola containment.
