Dear Donor,
Communities affected by a prolonged Ebola outbreak need more than emergency messages. They need continued engagement, reliable information and practical support to maintain protective behaviors.
The DRC continues to face a substantial Ebola burden, with more than 8,000 confirmed cases and nearly 4,000 deathsreported in the latest official update.
Development Alert continues promoting awareness around hygiene, early reporting, appropriate healthcare seeking and cooperation with response teams.
We understand that communities can experience fatigue during a long emergency. People may become less attentive to prevention messages when they have lived with an outbreak for many months.
Our community-focused approach therefore emphasizes consistent, respectful and understandable communication.
We encourage communities to remain vigilant without creating unnecessary fear or stigma.
Your support enables us to continue strengthening community resilience when sustained attention is needed most.
