Dear Donor,
Households remain an important setting for early detection and prevention.
The World Health Organization continues to identify delayed detection as a challenge in the current Ebola outbreak, with delays increasing the risk of transmission within households and communities.
At Development Alert we continue to encourage families to take concerning illness seriously and seek professional healthcare promptly.
In supporting communities, we also promote accurate information about appropriate precautions when caring for sick family members.
The goal is to help families respond early without creating panic or stigma.
When households know what to do and where to seek assistance, they become stronger partners in outbreak control.
