Dear Donor,
New Ebola cases continue to be reported in several provinces of the DRC.
The latest ECDC update recorded 49 additional confirmed cases, including 27 in Ituri, 18 in North Kivu and four in Haut-Uélé.
Development Alert continues promoting community vigilance and responsible health-seeking behavior in response to these changing transmission patterns.
Our awareness activities encourage communities to report concerning illness promptly, maintain appropriate hygiene and cooperate with professional health workers.
The appearance of new cases in multiple locations reminds us that an outbreak can evolve differently from one community to another.
For this reason, health awareness cannot be limited only to communities currently reporting high numbers of cases.
Preparedness today can help communities respond more quickly to tomorrow's health challenges.
