Supporting Communities Through Risk Communication

By Zachery Onyango | Project Leader

Dear Donor,

Risk communication remains essential as Ebola transmission changes from one location to another.

World Health Organization reports that the national trend in the DRC conceals significant differences between provinces and health zones. Some areas are seeing declines while others continue experiencing substantial transmission.

Development Alert continues communicating practical health messages that help communities understand changing risks without creating unnecessary fear.

We encourage residents to rely on credible health information and to avoid spreading unverified claims.

Effective communication should be timely, understandable and respectful.

Your support enables us to keep community awareness active as the epidemiological situation continues to evolve.
