Dear Donor,
Contact tracing remains an important component of the Ebola response.
As of 23 September, WHO reported that 32,342 identified contacts required follow-up, with 26,980 successfully monitored during the previous 24 hours.
These figures demonstrate the enormous operational effort required to identify and follow people who may have been exposed.
Development Alert continues encouraging communities to cooperate with trained surveillance and contact-tracing teams.
We promote respectful communication so that people understand why health teams may need information about movements, contacts and possible exposure.
Community cooperation can make surveillance more effective while helping reduce fear and misunderstanding.
Your support helps strengthen the awareness and trust needed for communities to work constructively with response teams.
