Dear Donor,
Ituri remains at the centre of the Ebola response in the DRC.
WHO reported 6,032 confirmed cases in Ituri as of 23 September, with transmission gradually declining from its mid-August peak but remaining elevated.
Development Alert continues promoting community preparedness rather than allowing declining transmission in a particular area to create a false sense of security.
Our activities emphasize hygiene, early reporting, accurate health information and cooperation with health authorities.
The experience in Ituri demonstrates that sustained preparedness is necessary even when transmission begins to decline.
Communities need continued support to maintain protective behaviors and remain connected to health services.
Your support helps communities remain prepared during every stage of the outbreak.
