Dear Donor,
Hygiene remains an important component of community preparedness during an Ebola outbreak.
Development Alert continues promoting practical hygiene awareness in places where people gather, including households, schools, markets, transport points and other community settings.
The continuing DRC outbreak demonstrates why prevention messages must remain active even when transmission decreases temporarily in particular locations.
We encourage communities to maintain appropriate hand hygiene and follow guidance from trained health professionals.
Hygiene promotion is most effective when communities understand not only what to do, but why these practices matter.
Our work therefore combines practical messages with broader health education and encouragement for early reporting.
Your support helps us promote everyday preventive practices that contribute to stronger community preparedness.
