Dear Donor,
The continuing spread of Ebola in the DRC reinforces the importance of preparedness among communities connected to neighboring countries.
WHO reports that Dungu Health Zone in Haut-Uélé, which borders South Sudan, is the newest affected health zone, bringing the outbreak to 63 affected health zones across seven provinces.
Development Alert continues promoting awareness, early reporting, hygiene and responsible healthcare seeking among communities connected through travel, trade and family networks.
Cross-border preparedness should not create fear or discrimination against travelers and traders. Instead, it should encourage cooperation, accurate information and timely communication with health authorities.
Strong preparedness helps communities protect both public health and livelihoods.
Your continued support enables us to strengthen awareness and preparedness among communities facing this evolving regional health emergency.
