Dear Donor,
Basic hygiene remains an important part of Ebola prevention and preparedness as the outbreak continues in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The latest WHO and ECDC updates show that thousands of people have been affected by Bundibugyo Ebola, making practical prevention measures essential. Development Alert continues promoting hand hygiene, cleanliness, safe healthcare-seeking and responsible health practices within communities.
We encourage families, schools, transport communities and community leaders to maintain good hygiene practices and follow guidance from trained health authorities.
Hygiene alone cannot stop Ebola, but combined with surveillance, early reporting, contact tracing and infection prevention, it can contribute to stronger community protection.
Your support enables us to continue sharing practical prevention information with communities that need it most.
