Dear Donor,
An effective Ebola response requires more than health messages. Supplies, personnel, communication materials and other resources must reach communities and response teams when needed.
The latest ECDC figures report 7,475 confirmed cases, 3,605 deaths and 905 patients hospitalized in isolation as of the 16 September data.
Development Alert continues supporting grassroots preparedness through practical logistics and community mobilization.
Our activities include facilitating movement of awareness materials, supporting community meetings, reaching remote locations and helping maintain communication with local structures.
We also recognize that logistics must support more than one intervention.
Preparedness requires hygiene materials, communication resources, referral information and community outreach.
WHO identifies logistics as one of the key pillars of the ongoing DRC response.
Donor support helps turn preparedness plans into practical action in communities where distance and limited resources can otherwise become barriers.
