Expanding Handwashing Facilities in Schools
Because of your support, we have significantly expanded access to handwashing facilities in schools located in high-risk communities.
Before this intervention, many schools lacked structured hygiene systems, leaving students vulnerable to infection through shared surfaces and close contact. With your contributions, we have:
As a result, hundreds of students are now practicing handwashing multiple times a day, particularly before meals and after group activities. Teachers report a noticeable shift in behavior, with hygiene becoming part of the daily routine rather than an occasional practice.
In some schools, these stations are being used by over 300 students daily, significantly reducing the risk of transmission within these environments.
This impact extends beyond the classroom, as students carry these habits into their homes and communities.
Your support is helping create safer schools while driving long-term behavior change that strengthens overall community health.
