Impact Update – Installing Handwashing Facilities in High-Risk Community Areas
Because of your generous support, we have successfully installed handwashing facilities in multiple high-risk community locations, including markets, gathering points, and informal meeting areas where large numbers of people interact daily.
Before this intervention, access to proper handwashing infrastructure was extremely limited in many of these locations. This created a significant gap in prevention efforts, as hand hygiene is one of the most effective ways to reduce Ebola transmission. Many community members relied on shared water sources without soap or structured hygiene practices.
With your support, we have:
As a result, hundreds of individuals are now practicing regular hand hygiene throughout the day. This has significantly reduced the risk of person-to-person transmission in public spaces.
Community members have also reported increased awareness of hygiene practices and a stronger sense of shared responsibility in preventing the spread of Ebola.
Your support is not just providing infrastructure—it is enabling behavior change that protects entire communities.
