The project will offer basic Personal Protective Equipments (PPEs ) supplies such as hand sanitizers, hygienic kits, infrared thermometers, surgical masks and other necessary supplies. With covid-19 it is crucial that Comunity Health Workers (CHWs ) have what they need to protect themselves and the community they serve. In this three-month project we aim to distribute 1500 infrared thermometers and hand sanitizers (one to each CHW) and 30,000 surgical masks.
As the WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom advised: This is not even close to being over and Africa should prepare for the worst. Your donations to this initiative will help stop the spread of covid-19 and provide additional needed support through sensitization and providing needed supplies to Rwanda Community Health Workers (CHWs).
The project will support CHWs in Rwanda by providing education and offering basic supplies including hand sanitizer, hygienic kits, infrared thermometers, and surgical masks. This project intends to reach 1500 CHWs in the Rulindo district of the Northern province of Rwanda. The project will provide status reports to donors to track out work.
The project has a direct impact on the health and wellness of the Rwandan community. This project will support approximately 1500 CHWs to ensure they are able to continue to serve their vital role in their community. This intervention will help stem the spread of COVID-19 and save lives of our CHWs and those they serve.
