Dear Friends and Sponsors,
We would like to give you more updates of what we have been doing with your financial support over the last 3 months. Destiny Children and Family support project continue to offer weekly tutoring and creative social activities to children with special needs, holiday activities and after school zoom club for SEN children and young people, giving short breaks to parents and carers of children with additional needs and disabilities.
The project continue to run every Monday as face to face activities and on zoom Wednesday from 5pm-7pm every week. These 4 hours of short break enable parents and carers to relax while their children are learning and engaging in creative activities to boost their social and life skills.
As a charitable organisation, we continue to support our members by sharing valuable information for health and well-being via our Destiny children and Family Support group on WhatsApp and Zoom Club . We also continue with the provision of food donation via fare share food distribution to our members once a week by delivering free parcel food to our members' home as needed.
Children and young people will continue to engaged in arts, crafts and educational games, reading story books, maths and creative social activities where children and young people are supported to engage in learning and create useful small objects in arts, and use their imagination to be creative on zoom
In December 2022, we had a lovely Christmas party for all our children, young people, and families in Bromley. Every child received a gift from Santa and everyone had great time. Thanks to all friends and sponsors for donating gifts toys for our children at this Christmas.
This Winter, our children have been busy making arts and craft at the Monday Club and in February they made valentines cards for their families, they had a lot of fun designing how they wanted their love hearts to look. Some used paints and some used tissue paper. Busy, busy, busy.
During February Half term 2023, our young people were able to engage in two full days of Muti activities camps at LWFCI –UK working in partnership with Bromley Children and Families Voluntary Forum. Children had opportunity to engage in basketball, sensory play, football, Tai-chi , Zumba Dance and many more activities. Thank you to all sponsors and partners supporting this project. With your ongoing support, your kind donations enable us to provide such enriching activities, they are able to spend a whole day with their peers, interacting and having lots of fun.
The children will continue to receive vital support to boost their learning virtually and social skills through this project and this will assist them in experiencing a brighter future. It is so wonderful to know that, some of the materials and support costs were been paid for from the contributions that you have all made to this project. Our work is only possible through the kind donations and support from our incredible donors like you.
We rely on grant funding, your donations and crowd fundraising from GlobalGiving and we do hope that you will continue to support us again.
