The Holy Land, the land that God chose to become a man, where Jesus lived and spread a new teaching of love and where St. Paul preached unlimited charity, today is suffering because of unending conflicts. Inspired by St. Paul's teaching today, after 2.000 years, we carry on several charity works in support of our brothers and sisters in the Holy Land. Through our emergency centers we distribute food, primary goods and medicines for those in need and bring hope in places where none is left.
Millions of people in the area of the Middle East known as Holy Land, are in great need due to war, economic crisis and now covid-19 emergency. In Lebanon the explosions occured last August, have deepened an ongoing crisis which doesn't seem to have an end. In Syria ten years of war, the economic sanctions and medical emergency, are killing any spring of hope left, pushing many to flee. While there has been a great increase of poverty in Palestine and Jordan, because of the stop of pilgrimages.
We have several ongoing projects in Syria, Lebanon, Rhodes, Egypt, Jordan, Israel and Palestine. Through our Emergency centers, we welcome refugees fleeing the war, we distribute food packages, primary goods and baby products for those in need; we purchase and distribute medicines for the chronically ill and cover costs for medical interventions. Where possible, we then carry on projects of reconstruction, development and vocational training.
The long-term impact of the project is to support hope for a better future from small but concrete transversal aid to all the peoples of the Holy Land.
