Challenge

In poor socio-economic conditions, Bittu takes care of her siblings, cooks & cleans, attends government school, while Chand takes care of household as her mother goes to work. Despite the challenges, Bittu & Chand learnt the craft of acting & gave astute performances in the short film Bittu that has got global critical acclaim. But their situation continues to worsen. They are struggling to stay in school and eat a decent meal, things that every child deserves.

Solution

Bittu and Chand need your help to have an opportunity to quality life. The funds raised through this campaign will enable them to access quality education that will translate to opportunities in graduate studies, giving them an effective path out of their present socio-economic situation. It will ensure that they have access to basic amenities like water and electricity and a permanent roof over their heads, ensuring safety for their families.

Long-Term Impact

Bittu & Chand's biggest life challenges will be addressed with these resources. With their basic needs of food, shelter and education taken care of, they would be able to afford a better quality of life where they decide which career to choose, when to get married, provide for the education of their children, empowering the next generation. Your support has power to break the intergenerational cycle of poverty that they have been facing for years, one girl, one family, one community at a time!
