Dear Friends,

Please do accept our sincere thanks for your valuable support to our project for  Multiple disabled children.

We wholeheartedly appreciate the generous support of donors & GlobalGiving community.

Your generous  donation was utilized to provide residential Education, Training & Rehabilitation for the Children with disabilities.

This is on-going project; in our project we have children with multiple disabilities (Visually Impaired and visually impairment with  Mentally challenged or Hearing loss and Physically disabled).

The background of these children socially, economically backward and they are severe disabled due to malnutrition.   These children are neglected by their parents even during Covid-19 situation the parents have not take the children home.  Hence Divine Light is providing free residential Education and appropriate training in : Braille, Orientation & Mobility, Parents Counselling, Medical Intervention,  Horticulture, Craft, Music, Tailoring, Social Skills &Self help care etc…  in addition to prevention of disability programme.

The following are the highlights of this quarter :-

May   2020                         -           Because of  lockdown we have organized in house training for   children                                                             on  prevention of disability & self help care .

June 2020                           -           Training in painting to rehabilitate the children with Mentally challenged.

July 2020                            -           In addition to the regular academic programme we organized  Yoga &                                                                  prevention of disability  programme.

 August 15^th , 2020            -           Celebration of Independence Day 

September 5^th 2020          -           Celebration of Teachers Day

September 30^th 2020        -           Individual Assessment of the children with  disabilities along with their                                                                 parents.

We take this opportunity to thank in a special way to GlobalGiving and to all our  donors  & well wishers who have contributed generously for the benefit of the children with disabilities.

Dear  Friends,

We wish to submit the quarterly report of our project for Children with Multiple disABILITIES.

We encourage the children to participate in various programmes for their all-round development in addition to Education and training like Music, Dance, Tailoring, Braille, Orientation & Mobility, Parent counseling, Medical intervention, Social skills and self help care etc….

Highlights up to April 2020

• February 2020

8^th  to 10^th February 2020         -  3 days Annual Excursion to create social awareness.                                     

25^th February 2020                    -  Health Camp                                                                                  

• March 2020

5^th March 2020                               -  Parents Meeting

16^th March 2020                           -   Children assessment         

21^st March 2020                           -  Celebration of Annual day 

• April 2020

-      Crash course for children with additional disabilities along with parents.

-      Special coaching for students appearing for higher studies

-      Prevention of disabilities programme conducted.
