This project will support 250 rural families in Ghana to achieve sustainable food security through access to food supplies, farming inputs, and practical training. Many rural households struggle with inconsistent food availability due to poverty, climate challenges, and limited resources. This project will help families meet their immediate food needs while building long-term capacity to produce and sustain their own food.
Food insecurity remains a major challenge in rural Ghana. Many families depend on small-scale farming but face challenges such as poor yields, lack of farming inputs, and unpredictable weather. As a result, households experience hunger, poor nutrition, and financial instability.
The project will provide food support to address immediate needs and distribute farming inputs such as seeds and tools to help families grow their own food. It will also offer training in sustainable and climate-smart farming practices to improve productivity and resilience.
The project will improve food availability, nutrition, and income for rural families. By strengthening their ability to produce food, families will become more self-reliant and less vulnerable to food shortages. Over time, this will contribute to healthier communities and stronger local economies.
