This project will provide improved, high-yield seeds to 200 smallholder farmers in Ghana to increase crop production and strengthen food security. Many farmers rely on low-quality seeds, resulting in poor harvests and unstable incomes. By supplying quality seeds and basic training, this project will help farmers grow more food, earn better incomes, and support their families.
Smallholder farmers in Ghana often struggle with low crop yields due to limited access to improved seeds. Many depend on saved or low-quality seeds that are less productive and more vulnerable to pests, diseases, and changing weather conditions. This leads to reduced harvests, low income, and food insecurity for farming households.
This project will distribute improved seeds to 200 farmers in rural communities. In addition, farmers will receive basic training on proper planting, soil management, and crop care to maximize yields. The combination of better seeds and practical knowledge will help farmers increase productivity and improve their livelihoods.
The project will increase food production, improve farmer incomes, and strengthen food security in rural Ghana. Over time, farmers will adopt improved farming practices, become more resilient to climate challenges, and reduce their dependence on low-yield methods. This will contribute to long-term poverty reduction and sustainable agriculture.
