For many vulnerable families in Syria, putting enough food on the table has become a daily struggle. Years of conflict, displacement, rising food prices, and limited employment opportunities have forced families to make painful choices between buying food, paying rent, obtaining medicine, or meeting their children’s other essential needs.
Salam Humanitarian Foundation (SHF) launched this campaign with the goal of providing essential food baskets to 1,000 vulnerable Syrian families. Each basket can help a family prepare nutritious meals, reduce immediate hunger, and preserve limited household income for healthcare, shelter, education, and other urgent expenses.
However, the funds raised so far remain far below what is needed to reach our target. This means that many families who urgently need food assistance are still waiting for support.
Our field teams continue to meet families who have reduced the number of meals they eat each day, borrowed food from relatives and neighbors, or removed important food items from their diets because they can no longer afford them. Parents often prioritize feeding their children while eating less themselves.
For these families, receiving a food basket is more than receiving basic supplies. It means having enough food to prepare regular meals. It means reducing anxiety for parents and restoring a measure of dignity and stability to the household.
Every contribution can help us move closer to supporting 1,000 Syrian families. No donation is too small. When combined with the generosity of other donors, even a modest contribution can help purchase essential food items and bring meaningful relief to a family experiencing hardship.
We urgently need your help to continue this campaign. By donating again or sharing the project with friends, colleagues, and family members, you can help us reach more vulnerable households and prevent families from being left without essential food assistance.
We sincerely thank everyone who has already supported this project. Your generosity demonstrates that families affected by conflict and displacement have not been forgotten.
Please stand with us today. Together, we can turn donations into food, hardship into relief, and uncertainty into hope for vulnerable Syrian families.
