Jan 2016 Update
By Juhi Mawla | US Project Coordinator
Hello friend of MAAWS,
2015 has been is gone and now we embark on another exciting year. In 2015, we installed 14 tubewells in 6 villages in the district of Noakhali.
We have started creating a map of our tubewells. You can see it here. Please note this map is currently in the works and is by no means final or complete and only lists the wells installed in 2015. In fact if you have any experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS), specifically Google Fusion, we'd love your help. You can contact me juhi@maaws.org for more details.
We also have other volunteer opportunities in the field office in Bangladesh and remote. If you are interested, please fill out our info form http://bit.ly/maawsvol if you're interested in learning more. Opportunities include volunteering at US community events, hosting speaking engagements, fundraising, volunteering at the MAAWS Health Complex on your next trip.
We cannot thank you enough for your faith in us and believing in our mission. Together we can all work to provide people with the opportunities to uplift themselves out of poverty. Thank you again for all you have done to help this cause.
With gratitude,
Juhi Mawla

By Juhi Mawla | U.S. Project Coordinator
Hi! Hope you are all doing well! It's time for another MAAWS update. We are maintaining our wells and gearing up for another round of installations.
Since staring the project in 2008 we have installed more than 200 wells. We have an exciting project in the works at the moment. We are in the midst of creating an interactive map of all our wells so you can actually see them. In fact if you have any experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS), specifically Google Fusion, we'd love your help. You can contact me juhi@maaws.org for more details.

April Update
By Juhi Mawla | US Project Coordinator/Sec't Int'l Affairs
Dear Friend of MAAWS,
2015 has been off to a great start for the Supply Safe Drinking Water to Bangladesh Villagers Project. In this first quarter, we have installed 14 tubewells in 6 villages in our project area of Senbagh, Noakhali, Bangladesh.
Thank you so much for your support over the years. You may be aware of the MAAWS Health Complex, an outpatient health clinic and burn treatment center that provides free and low cost health care to villagers in our project area. Patients have come from 63 villages seeking treatment. Since opening in 2012, we have had over 5,000 visits to our facility.
We still need a lot of support for this project to purchase medications, supplies and much needed diagnostic equipment. Please check out the project page and donate at http://bit.ly/gghealthcomplex.
We cannot thank you enough for your faith in us and believing in our mission. Together we can all work to provide people with the opportunities to uplift themselves out of poverty.
