Hi Everyone,
I hope all of you are slowly winding down and getting to spend some time with your loved ones. Before we all tune out for the holidays, I wanted to provide you with some updates.
Since December 2011, we have been able to install 24 tubewells in our project area. Approximately 2400 people now have access to safe drinking water. None of this is possible without your support. By providing clean water, villagers are now have less risk of contracting a debilitating water-borne disease and women and children do not have to travel far to get clean water. We have installed the tube wells in village market, schools and areas where villagers were primarily used contaminated pond water.
We have many other exiciting projects out in the horizon. This past June, we opened up the MAAWS Health Complex. As of early December, we have seen over 600 patients. We still need a lot of support for this project, so please in this time of giving think of the 30,000 people in the Senbagh/Begumganj area of Noakhali, Bangladesh that do not have access to basic health care. You can check out our project and donate at www.tinyurl.com/gghealthcomplex.
We cannot thank you enough for your faith in us and believing in our mission. Together we can all work to provide people with the opportunities to uplift themselves out of poverty.
Best,
Juhi
