As part of being the only NGO left in the country, most Afghan citizens depend on Afghan Institute of Learning to continue supporting them. However that isn't possible if "Sakena Fund" , is the only organization funding them. With materials running dry, AIL is dependent on our generous donors to have their backs in needing utilities such as generators, clothing, food, medicine, welfare towards the community.
Being the only NGO in the country comes with challenges, such as funding, communication with government, and being able to provide. As news shift away from Afghanistan, so do the funds that have been given provisions towards the organization and towards the Afghan people. Many citizens live in poverty, due to government and war, these people depend on AIL to feed them and take care of their needs, since the government won't.
An increase in funding will allow the organization to move more rapidly in providing the necessities Afghan Citizens need. An increase in technological supplies, more staffing being payed, care packages being sent, and pharmaceutical drugs, all which go towards the community and regions that AIL is able to presently be active in. However urgency is needed, as many people are war-ridden, poor, starved, and desperate in need of attention .
Increased funding will strengthen local infrastructure, expand access to essential services, and empower families with the resources needed to become more resilient and self-sufficient. By addressing both immediate humanitarian needs and long-term development, AIL is helping build stronger communities that can recover from crisis and create opportunities for future generations
