The Sunyani Youth Empowerment Centre is a planned community hub in Ghana creating safe access to sport, learning, health and wellbeing support, digital skills, and enterprise opportunities for young people. It responds to growing demand in underserved communities where safe spaces and development pathways are limited. The project helps children and youth build confidence, skills, and opportunities for education, employment, and leadership through integrated programmes.
Young people in Sunyani and surrounding communities have limited access to safe spaces for sport, learning, and skills development outside school. Many lack structured opportunities that support education, health, and future employment, leaving potential unfulfilled. This affects children and adolescents across underserved areas. The project will provide a safe, integrated community hub where young people can build skills, confidence, and pathways to better opportunities.
The project will build a safe, integrated community hub in Sunyani where young people can access sport, education, digital skills, health and wellbeing support, and enterprise training in one place. Through structured programmes led by Forsports Foundation, it will provide consistent development pathways, mentorship, and opportunities that build confidence, skills, and employability, helping young people move from limited access to long-term opportunity.
The project will create lasting change by providing a permanent centre for youth development in Sunyani. It will improve access to education, skills, and safe spaces, helping young people build confidence, leadership, and employability. Over time, it will strengthen community wellbeing, reduce inequality, and support pathways to education, work, and entrepreneurship. The Centre will serve future generations as a sustainable hub for opportunity and positive youth development.
