Your belief and support in our work to get potentially life saving aid to immigrants is incredibly powerful as we enter a dark period for immigrants. A period where we are seeing intentional attacks on the already meager services available for vulnerable immigrant populations after a natural disaster like Hurricanes Helene and Milton in 2024, where thousands were left without power, homes were destroyed, and roads were washed out.
Thanks to you, before the next hurricane season arrives we will be ready to distribute $1074 in preparedness kits to those who are in the direct path of the storm and most in need. As we do not know where the next hurricane will make landfall we are waiting to prepare and send out the kits so that your donation has the largest impact. We plan to start preparing the kits in May of 2025 so we have the supplies on hand when the next storm arrives.
