At NSPPL centers in northern Syria, we take pride in offering a full range of prosthetic limb services—covering both upper and lower limbs, including specialized above-knee and through-hip prosthetics. These services are often life-changing for individuals who have suffered traumatic injuries.

Recently, we had the privilege of serving Abbas, a determined individual who lost his left leg through the hip in a road accident while working in rural Aleppo three years ago. Since the incident, Abbas has faced significant challenges in mobility and independence.

Thanks to our skilled team of technicians and physiotherapists, Abbas received a custom-made prosthetic limb tailored to his unique needs. After fitting and intensive training, he is now walking again and has regained a significant level of self-sufficiency. Most importantly, Abbas is now on a path to resuming work and providing for his family once more.

We are honored to share the inspiring story of Mohammad, a young man whose life was forever changed by a devastating earthquake that struck his hometown. Once full of energy and vitality, Mohammad endured a traumatic injury during the disaster, leading to the loss of his prosthetic limb. This moment marked the beginning of an incredibly difficult chapter in his life, filled with both physical and emotional pain.

Thanks to your generous support, our dedicated team at NSPPL’s Afrin center was able to step in and help Mohammad regain his independence. He received vital psychological support to process his trauma, and a custom-made above-the-knee prosthetic was crafted and fitted by our expert physical therapy team. With training and care, Mohammad began to rediscover the freedom of movement and the dignity of self-reliance.

Today, Mohammad expresses his heartfelt gratitude to all those who made this transformation possible. It is because of compassionate donors like you that he—and many others—can look to the future with renewed hope.
