During the month of August 2016 the St Juan Diego, St Vincent de Paul food pantry served 125 families consisting of 319 adults and 206 children. These families received a total of 9185 pounds of much needed food. We made four deliveries of food to families unable to travel to our pantry.
In September we have again begun to gear up our backpack program for hungry young school kids. We are starting the school year by providing food for 25 kids at McKinley Elementary School and three kids at Springville Elementary School.
Additionally in August we provided two families with $400 in rent assistance, which helped them remain in their homes. To date in September we have provided three other families with a total of $522 in rent and $300 in utility assistance. We thank all of you for your generosity, which helps us sustain our mission to help local families in need!
