By Robert Taylor | President, St Juan Diego St Vincent de Paul
During the month of May 2016 the St Juan Diego, St Vincent de Paul food pantry was able to serve 137 families consisting of 356 adults and 259 children. These families received a total of 10,455 pounds of much needed food. We made two deliveries of food to families unable to travel to our pantry. We ended the school year serving 47 hungry kids at McKinley and Springville Elementary schools.
Additionally in May we provided two families with $600 in rent assistance, which allowed them to stay in their homes. To date during the month of June, rental assistance requests have increased dramatically. In that time we have helped five families with rental assistance totalling $1850. We thank you all so much for your generosity, which contributes significantly to our mission!
