I2B Cloeteville club
Our I2B Cloetesville turnout has been especially large the last couple of weeks.
While still waiting for permission to start building their concrete park, we are maintaining the rail and cement area on which the kids can practice their skills.
Our older skaters have been really loyal and have continuously set a very good example to the other young club members.
A day in the life of an I2B Skate Coach...
I2B Kleinvlei Club
We recently fixed I2B Kleinvlei club's skate rail.
The club members also started building a skate box (on their own!) and I came to help with the final touches.
Ultimate X skateboards sponsorship
We are really grateful for the cool new skateboards that were donated to the I2B kids.
Kogel Bay skim outing
Friends, Gareth and Dylan, flew down all the way from Nelspruit to join us at a skating competition in Cape Town. They also joined our skimboarding club and we decided to make the club session extra special by taking everyone to Kogel Bay for a skim. Out of everyone there, our dogs most probably enjoyed it the most!
I2B Surfing
Moose and his I2B Surfing crew have been surfing really hard. His team has also recently started coaching kids from Bright Lights safehouse. The children have really grown very fond of their new sport and new mentors.
Athletics for people with disabilities by Fanie
Maties Para-Athletics Camp
We invited the schools from Western Province to join our annual camp. We had just under 20 athletes who joined.
It was great to spend time with the athletes and to see their enthusiasm.
New I2B athletes
Nur has been looking for a guide for quite some time and Clinton was keen to start guiding an athlete... and so, the two joined forces. I am really excited to see this duo competing at Nationals!
Exterra Warriors - Grabouw
Inspired 2 Become partnered with other ogranisations and entered groups for an endurance competition in Grabouw - the groups focussed on swimming, cycling and trail running.
Visiting Vergenoegd Primer and Olifantsriver Centre
Myself, Thabo and Karin visited Vergenoegd Primer and Olifantsriver Centre for Persons with Disabilities. We shared our stories with the awesome kids and on the same day we went to Vredendal to plan a disability sport awareness day.
Educational Therapy by Jami
Starting therapy
The children at Raithby Primary were very eager to start therapy again and we believe that good things lie ahead for all of them this year.
Ethan and Aldorico wrote down their dreams for the year and afterwards they composed a short rap and beat-box about it!
