The children of Syria have lived through days of suffering and loss, enduring long periods of pain and hardship that have left deep scars on their hearts and souls. Some of them have lost their parents, some have lost limbs, and others have lived alone in a world filled with poverty and displacement. These children have lost everything, but they have not lost hope.

One of these children is the orphaned girl, Rama, who lives in the Kafra camp in northern Syria with her mother and her brother, Saeed. Rama lost her father three years ago and lives with her mother, who works in agriculture, but she cannot meet the needs of her two orphaned children.

Despite these harsh circumstances, Rama has not lost her dream. She tells us with hope in her eyes that her greatest wish is to return to school, to sit on a school bench like other children, and to build her future. Rama dreams of becoming an agricultural engineer, owning her own land to help her mother with the work, and supporting her brother and mother in the increasingly difficult life they face.

Thanks to your generous support, we have been able to reach Rama and her brother, Saeed, and provide them with the help they need to continue their lives with dignity. In many schools, children are forced to sit on the floor because there are no chairs or usable desks. Others share a single pen or notebook, as their families cannot afford school supplies—parents must prioritize food and shelter over education. With the worsening economic situation, going back to school has become a heavy burden for families and a distant dream for countless children.
