Our project aims to distribute essential school supplies and sponsor 300 students throughout the new school year in the camps around the rural areas of Suran city northern Syria. These students face significant barriers to education due to the high costs associated with schooling, including supplies, clothing, and other related expenses.
In the camps surrounding Soran, families face severe financial challenges and are barely able to secure basic necessities. The cost of school supplies, uniforms and related expenses puts education out of reach for many children. As a result, they are denied access to school, leaving them vulnerable to the long-term effects of poverty. Without education, these children have little hope of improving their future prospects or contributing positively to their communities.
The solution we came up with is to distribute full school supplies and sponsor 300 students over the course of the school year. Each student will receive essentials such as notebooks, pens, backpacks, and school uniforms. By covering these costs, we are removing the financial barriers that prevent children from going to school. In addition, we will provide ongoing financial support to ensure that these students continue to attend school.
By enabling 300 children to attend school, we're not just addressing immediate educational needs; we're investing in their futures. Education equips these children with the knowledge and skills necessary to break free from the cycle of poverty. As they grow, they can contribute to their communities, improve their own economic situations, and inspire positive change. This project offers a sustainable solution that benefits not just individual students but the wider community as well.
