We are delighted to share one of the most meaningful experiences from recent weeks in the Peraj Mexico program: a visit to the Papalote Children’s Museum by children and university mentors from FES Acatlán. Recognized as one of the leading science and technology museums in Mexico City, the museum offers innovative and interactive learning experiences that inspire curiosity and creativity among young visitors.
This activity was part of our ongoing effort to expand cultural and educational experiences as an essential component of the support we provide to participating children. We believe that access to interactive learning environments helps broaden perspectives, spark curiosity, and strengthen the bonds between mentors and their young mentees.
During the visit, participants explored the museum’s interactive exhibits, engaged with hands-on science and technology activities, and enjoyed a day filled with discovery, learning, and shared experiences. For many of the children, it was a special opportunity to visit one of Mexico City’s most iconic educational spaces and learn through play and exploration.
Throughout the day, mentors from FES Acatlán guided and accompanied their mentees, reinforcing the trust, connection, and shared learning that define the Peraj mentoring model. Experiences like these complement the program’s weekly mentoring sessions and contribute to the holistic development of both children and university students.
We are deeply grateful for the support of our donors through GlobalGiving. Your generosity makes it possible to continue creating educational and cultural opportunities that leave a lasting impact on the lives of children and young university volunteers alike.
By investing in experiences beyond the classroom, you are helping us nurture curiosity, confidence, and meaningful relationships that inspire lifelong learning.
