Educate an Orphan in Rural Western Kenya

The academic calendar is not the same and our education department worked out a plan to help us get back to the normal calendar by the year 2023.  This plan is tight and our school holidays changed to one week with no mid-term breaks. We cant wait to get back to our normal academic calendar.

However we are glad that there are no more curfews and lockdowns, the number of cases has gone down and we are encouraged to keep all the measures that were put in place to avoid infections.  The government has encouraged all the young people to go for vaccinations, many people haven't gone for it but the government is putting some measures in place to make sure everyone has been vaccinated.

We have not had any cases in our school and we are happy to report that all our children are safe and healthy.  We had some cases within the community but they were curbed and it's safe. 

We are preparing our 8th-grade students for their exams and we are confident that they will pass with good grades. Your continued support has enabled us to get where we are, we have enough teachers and they are doing very well.

We have not been able to finish our new classrooms, the lower primary students are still using the temporary classes.  These are classes are good during the dry season but they become pathetic during the rain season. We are hoping to finish the classes when we have funds so that our learners can have a good environment and be safe.
