QUARTERY REPORT

By Godfrey Sseremba | Project leader

Sprout Care Foundation wish to extend our sincere thanks to all our generous donors who have continued supporting our interventions amidist this challenging situation of Covid 19.

Our sponsored children were getting balanced diet meals from school now that the school are closed due to covid 19, the children care givers were challenged with proper feeding of children that have over stayed at home during this pandemic. The Sprout Care Foundation has continued to support the vulnerable families of both sponsored and non sponsored with food especially those with care givers whose work is still closed for example bars and restaurants.

The organisation has supported vulnerable children with medical treatment of malaria, diarrhea and infections.

As the schools are still closed, students in urban commuties have their lessons on Tv and radio. Most of our students were unable to access such lessons as they live in rural areas where there is no electricity, tv and some familes dont have radios. The organisation set 20 community learning centres in 20 places where 3-6 children meet at different intervals to continue with their lessons. Sprout Care Foundation provides the learning materials to these centres and facilitates teachers from within those communities to monitor children learning.

The facilitated teachers were trained in counseling, these have guided the children to make informed decision that doesn't affect their lives. During this prolonged lock down girls have gotten pregnant. The organisation has worked hard through the teachers and volunteers to ensure that our children in areas of operation doesn't get early pregnancy and are protected from all forms of abuse.
