QUARTERY REPORT

By Godfrey Sseremba | Project leader

The management of Sprout Care Foundation wish to thank all generous donors that have continued supporting the less fortunate amidst this challenging time for us all of Covid 19 or corana virus.

Uganda as a nation has been on lock down for the last 5 weeks with two more weeks ahead, schools closed seven weeks back. The donation to this project project is directed to sponsored child education, medical care, school requirements and feeding.

Schools closed after the organisation had paid the first installment of school fees and all school requirements. After the closure of schools management decided to continue supporting children with food to help them through the covid 19 as most of the supported children were getting nutritious food from schools.

The sprout care foundation has supported sponsored chldren families with food vouchers that helped them to get the required food for the child from pre qualified suppliers.  This has reduced the risk of mulnutrition and starvation during this prolonged lock down.

Some care givers of the sponsored children are living with HIV/AIDS these also benefited from our generous donor support in addition to other donation received. People living with HIV/AIDS require good feeding to effectively take their drugs. We are grateful that so far we have not lost any caregiver. Given the support all are able to take their drugs as prescribed without any fear of side effects that is caused by poor feeding or sleeping on empty stomach. This achievement is greatly attributed to our donors. Our desire is to ensure that our children and their caregivers go through this period safe.

However as government continue to extend the lock down due to continued spread of Covid 19, the future is unpredictable as more challenges emerge that require our intervention. However we are grateful to all the donors for being part of our community.
