Thank you very much for your support to our campus project. With your support, we have been able to start construction of Girls Hostel in the 3 acre campus.

The building measures 8500 sq.ft and costs Rs 1.2 crores ($ 160,000). It can accommodate 120 children and has 18 bathrooms. We will also have a computer lab and a library.

The First Floor has been inaugurated formally on Nov 25 by our donors and main supporters/volunteers.

A few girls have already been shifted to the First Floor. We will strive hard to complete the rest of the building by April 2019. And we hope,  we will have the opportunity and resources to build another block as well.

We will soon have a road inside the campus and parking tiles in the open ground in the Main building. We already have 10 street lights and a solar power system will be set up very soon.

Inside the main building, we will have modifications to kitchen and dining area. We will also have a landscaping artist giving out campus an aesthetic look.

New building for Girls

Thank you friends for your support to our Campus Project and other campaigns in Global Giving. Through your encouragement, we were able to complete a 25000 sq.ft building in Sphoorti Dundigal campus.

We currently have 207 children and 20 staff members on the campus. With your support, we have been able to provide facilities like a library, a computer laboratory and a sick room along with dining hall and kitchen.

As part of our efforts to comply with stipulations of Juvenile Justice Act, we are building a separate Home for Girls in the left corner in the current campus.

The building has four floors and a total area of 8500 sq.ft. We plan to accommodate 120 girls in that building with a provision for common facilities like dining area, library, lab and a sick room.

There will also be a compound wall around the building with 500 sq yards of open space for girl children to play and spend time in the open. 50 Girls will move into the Ground Floor in the first week of October.

In the recent times, we put our library in order and stacked it with more books in different genres. Now, we have more than 1400 books in our campus. We have also added a couple of new racks to add to the existing furniture.

We have also built a sick room for our children. It has three beds, a set up for doctor visits and a first aid kit.

Best Regards

Thank you so much for your support to our Campus Project. We started construction of our Main Building for Girls in 2014 and after a lot of challenges from various quarters, we were able to complete the building. In 2016, we moved more than 150 children to the new campus.

Since then, we have had the opportunity to change more lives, with better care for our children. The strength has also increased from 160 to 200.

We are currently constructing a Home for Boys in the same campus with a capacity of 100 children and 12 bathrooms.

We hope to complete the First Floor (2500 sq.ft) by August 15th. It will give us the capacity to adopt more children and change their lives.

We hav also done some plantation in the last week. We will soon have a dedicated play area for younger children - a swing set, a slider and a Merry Go Round.

By August, Sphoorti will run on Solar Power.
