Bi-Monthly Report December to January

Qurtaba invited Chakiwara center located on 7th Jan, 2021 at Karachi United stadium. This match was 30 minutes long and both teams showed fabulous performance throughout the match. Jamia Qurtaba scored 5 goals whereas Chakiwara produced 8 goals and won the match.Karachi United Organized kit distribution ceremony for Lyari general community center in which Karachi United distributed footballs, boots, bags and bottles amongst the children. After the ceremony, a friendly match was played between Lyari general and Lyari Chakiwara. Both teams played well and tried their best to win. Lyari Chakiwara scored 2 goals whereas, Lyari general scored 3 goals and won the match.

Project Report from August to November 2020

Karachi united community centers participated in 10 friendly matches during this period. These matches were organized by local football clubs and Karachi United community centers were invited. Karachi united won 8 out of 10 matches while 1 matches was draw and 1 was lost. Karachi United organized a football tournament during this period in which 8 team participated. The teams were divided into two groups; each group consists of four teams with 20 players. The final match was played between Orangi Town Center and Ibrahim Hyderi Center in which Orangi Town beat Ibrahim Hyderi by 4-2 and won the final.
Karachi united recommenced football league during the month of November. This league was kicked off in March but was suspended due to COVID-19. Karachi united restarted the league and making sure that SOPs are being strictly followed during the match. A total of 36 took take place as of writing date of this report. Karachi United opened girls’ center in Bhudni Goth with the aim to empower girls. Karachi United will provide football and life skill training sessions twice a week.

Ration Drive:
Karachi United initiated ration distribution drive among deserving players during this difficult pandemic period. 50 percent of the Karachi (Pakistan) population live in slums and during this Covid-19 pandemic, these families are facing the starvation. A total of 870 ration bags has been distributed out of which 110 ration bags were given to the girls who are the part of Karachi united. Ration bags containing essential food item were distributed amongst community centers players, junior staff, Madrassa (religious institutions) players and community coaches, who come from underprivileged areas of Karachi (Pakistan). This step has been taken to provide financial support to the families who live on daily basis earning and are suffering due to current pandemic.
Partnership between Karachi United and Storm Fiber
Karachi United is going through the financial challenges during this Covid-19 pandemic. It has been almost 4 moths that all operations of Karachi United are suspended. Therefore, retaining all coaches was a difficult task for Karachi United but Karachi United does not want to leave their coaches alone in this uncertain situation. Thus, Karachi United collaborated with fiber storm and provided Karachi United 14 community coaches, who have the skills other than coaching, a job opportunity in fiber storm such as technicians and call agents. Now, these 14 coaches are working for Fiber Storm. Out of the 14 coaches two coaches, Daniyal and Najeeb, are the Karachi United Academy coaches
