Story / Update
Access to clean drinking water remains a major challenge for many communities in Tharparkar, where water scarcity and harsh climatic conditions affect daily life. Families often travel long distances to fetch water, exposing them to health risks and consuming valuable time.
To address this critical need, Alkhidmat Foundation completed the installation of a Solar Submersible Water Pump in Village Aurhano. Powered by renewable solar energy, the system provides a sustainable and environmentally friendly solution for delivering clean water to the community.
The project will directly benefit over 730 residents, ensuring year-round access to safe drinking water while reducing the burden on women and children who are often responsible for collecting water.
