Challenge

Refugee women in DRCongo were abandoned, while they do not have access to livelihood opportunities, they are extremity vulnerable and highly stigmatized in their communities , many cannot even manage to respond to their basic needs, and are victims of all forms of sexual exploitation. Even young girls are at permanent risks and in such their children do not access education. they are no projects looking at their well-being. This will reduce poverty and dependency.

Solution

We just want to train them and make them a human resource for themselves and for the community. This will also portray refugees positively and will make the government to view them as potential partners in order to build economy and contribute to the development of the country. This project will develop refugee professionals in Tailoring, Computers, Hair Dressing and shoe making, making liquid Soap, among others hand skills which will help the community.

Long-Term Impact

They will be economically stable and will end poverty among refugees especially women and young girls in DRC. This will offer them better opportunities to be integrated in their communities and end stigmatization and discrimination. This will change the public perception in which refugees are considered as problems and threats to the community, and help members to be part of the economic solutions in the communities, they will pay taxes, make social contributions and solve problems of people.
