SHAD is Canada's network for transforming exceptional youth for global impact. SHAD empowers youth to make the world a better place.
SHAD exists to support remarkable youth in pursuing their potential to change the world. SHAD helps youth develop confidence in their capabilities and envision their ability to innovate. SHAD believes that Intellectual gifts alone don't guarantee success, and that youth with exceptional capabilities require support from an extended network of leaders to ensure they reach their full potential.
The SHAD program, held annually in July and currently offered to 600+ youth annually, inspires youth to set aspirational goals and envision their own extraordinary potential. The investment of time and resources in these future leaders helps them, and Canada, compete on the world stage. The benefits of that investment are evident in the accomplishments of the many SHADs who have contributed to society since 1980.
Empowering exceptional youth to solve important societal problems has wide impact, both economic and social, on a local, national and global levels. Youth who have benefitted from SHAD have gone on to create innovations and companies that are changing the world for the better.
